Another year is coming to an end... I hope it treated you well! For me, 2023 was, as my dad aptly said, a "Turbo year" - 2 moves between cities, almost monthly flights there and back, crib acquisition, the start of an independent live, and just so much more... The world has changed a lot, and so did I, for the better or for the worse. For the next year, I want peace. Peace for the world, peace for my family and friends, peace for myself. I think this is the most important thing right now.

As for my personal plans for 令和6年, they include:

  1. Not stagnating in Japanese; learning at least some new material
  2. Start learning Portuguese and Polish
  3. Visit the pool at an average rate of at least 1 time a week
  4. Complete at least 4 new (for me) vidya games
  5. Finish That One God Damn Page That Has Been A WIP For Nearly Nine Month's
I don't think that's entirely unrealistic; let's see how much I can get done!

Thank you my dear Neocities buddies from the bottom of my heart for keeping up with me this year! How about one more? See you next year and stay warm!

We went to a local swimming pool today, swimming a total of 600 meters both. The plan is to go 2 times a week. I don't really feel like Working Out in a gym or something, pool is more fun and just as healthy and a great addition to my daily walking. I hope it can help me feel better physically and recover from a tiring half a year.

I have processed a grant total of 0 (zero) film rolls this year; I currently have 3 rolls loaded into my cameras, one fully shot, one nearly full and one almost empty, but with the only film processing service in Kaliningrad shutting down last year I now have to mail it to the mainland which isn't exactly cheap, and the rewind crank on the penguin camera is sadly broken so I have to wait until the film in the Photo Ball camera is completely filled so I can attempt to rewind using it's crank.

I was going to include a Big Angry Rant about a Discord community I was very fond of for 7 years but eventually had to leave, but after re-reading it I realised it was Crap due to my inability to coherently express my Meaning Less Thought's, so it has been Cut Out : ^ ). Have a winter theme instead, might need a Ctrl-R reload. Once again props to Brian for the snowplow gif. Well, this paragraph already is a rant on it's own. I have completely lost my ability to have any meaningful conversation, I think I wrote the exact same thing here last year and since then Nothing has changed.

Gee, I Wonder Who Is This Meme About?...



It brings so much joy to my lunch breaks on work, I only wish I bit the bullet earlier.

A few days ago I have been gifted a PS Vita as a quite early (around two weeks) birthday gift. I've been wanting one for quite a while as a direct upgrade over the PSP I used in my daily life as a portable gaming console, music and video player and a digital lo-fi camera. The Vita can do all of this and then some; I've installed Moonlight and can now play any games my PC runs from the comfort of My Bed. As I'm writing this the Vita is being downgraded in order to install more cool homebrew (since the 3.73 firmware it currently has is less compatible).



Winter time is always a nice time; in December work usually slows down in anticipation of the New Year break, then my birthday comes, and even though I haven't celebrated it for quite some years now (this Might change this time) it still feels like a special day, and then the New Year break begins and you spend time relaxing with your loved ones and doing simple things at home, then the break over and you come back refreshed. Nevertheless, even though it's not even half past December, my heart already longs for Spring... I yearn for the day I finally go out wearing only a sweatshirt, for the day the cherry blossom tree at the World Ocean Museum blooms, for the day the forsythia bushes flower all over the city painting the city yellow, for the day I switch the sweatshirt for the t-shirt... I crave for the day my beloved city yet again becomes a vibrant garden representing Life itself. I think the word 青春 is just a perfect representation of what Spring means for people. I long for Mother Nature to once again give birth to itself and start a new cycle of Life.
